The Sales division provides a bridge to students, connecting school to the workforce. Members have the opportunity to participate in competitions, pitches, listen to guest speakers, build relationships, and interact in a professional environment. Consistent contact with recruiters throughout the year enables future job opportunities for members striving for success. By combining competitive spirit with collaboration, the Sales Division prepares students to excel in sales roles while creating a sought-after community of driven, career-ready leaders.

Project 1:
The X Factor Project (Sales x Retail collab)
2026-2027 Projects
-
Members will combine two different companies to create a mock product that will ultimately generate revenue for both companies, culminating in a pitch to mock representatives from both companies. The companies will be unrelated and work in different fields, but the created product will make sense for both organizations and fill a need for consumers.
-
Members will be expected to determine a target demographic based on research. The pitch must be entertaining and persuasive, captivating the judges attention. Members will be expected to complete either a physical promotional display or a digital advertisement based on their distribution channel, so members will gain experience working with retail layouts and/or photo and video editing.
-
This project will:
teach members how to develop cross‑industry creative thinking.
enable members to learn how to merge two unrelated companies into a single, logical product concept that serves a real consumer need.
provide members tangible portfolio work and resume talking points that help them develop as marketers that practice their skills outside the classroom.
-
In partnership with Gartner, this project guides students through the stages of a qualification call while building consultative selling skills and gaining hands-on experience with a real-world sales process.
-
Members will conduct research, find pain points of a chosen company, guide the buyer through potential solutions, and handle objections during the mock sales call.
-
This project will:
teach members how to ask strategic questions, uncover real business challenges, and guide a buyer toward meaningful solutions.
enable members learn how to translate raw research into clear, compelling problem statements that resonate with executives.
help members practice responding calmly under pressure with a buyer pushes back, hesitates, or challenges them.
Project 2:
Gartner Sales Competition
Northeast Intercollegiate Sales Competition (NISC) Presented by Bryant University
Hosted annually at Bryant University, NISC is a premier B2B sales competition that brings together top student talent from across the U.S. and Canada. Participants compete in live role-plays, speed-selling rounds, and receive real-time coaching from industry professionals. The competition simulates real-world sales scenarios, helping students refine their communication, objection-handling, and closing skills—all while networking with recruiters and gaining exposure to leading sales organizations.
Beyond the competition, NISC offers extensive networking opportunities, including workshops, a career fair, and direct access to industry-leading employers actively seeking top sales talent. It’s a fast-paced, career-launching experience designed to prepare students for success in professional sales.
2025-2026 Conferences
Why Attend? NISC gives students the chance to step into real-world sales scenarios, sharpen their skills under pressure, and get direct feedback from industry professionals.
How Can I Attend? NISC will be exclusive to Sales Division members. An interview process will take place to select 10 qualifying members!
When and Where? The conference takes place November 14-15, 2025 at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
